Reviews
Dr Birtle has been treating me for 3 years now and although sometimes I have not fully understood what is happening she has done her upmost to ensure that I leave the surgery with the information I need.
It is a pleasure to visit Dr Birtle she is so reassuring and the whole treatment from the very start of my radiotherapy to my follow up visits have always been without apprehension. She is so clear and patient when explaining procedures which was a great help to me as I have significant hearing loss.
Looked after me for the past ten years and always reassured me. I would highly recommend Dr Birtle for her care.
On my first visit to the Oncology clinic i saw Dr Birtle who spent a great deal of time asking me about my life and medical history and explaining my position as she saw it.
On my second visit things were a little more rushed and i had to make a decision that i at the time was quite difficult, i do realise that Dr Birtle was on call and under pressure.
I am quite sure Dr Birtle has my best interest at heart and i can rely on her to do the best
for me.
I met Dr Birtle,Lancaster,on Friday 28th October. Our meeting was very similar to those during the past 10 years. Typified by a detailed analysis of my medical circumstances, together with very supportive social skills. Dr Birtle is a very attentive and patient listener. All of our meetings consist of a discussion of my recent medical evidence, analysis by Dr Birtle, with recommendations on how to proceed influenced by my personal views. I continue to value greatly the meetings, sometimes separated by weeks, sometimes by months dependant on medical evidence - and occasional personal circumstances ! I regard Dr Birtle's approach as completely professional, based on a desirable mix of her interpretation of medical evidence with well developed Social Skills. Thank you for the facility. Regards, ERIC O'HARE.
